Mopar will sell just 270 cars with its Mopar ’27 Charger package, split evenly across three colors. The limited run marks Mopar’s 90th anniversary and fits the two-door 2027 Dodge Charger R/T and Scat Pack Plus. Each color gets exactly 90 cars.
Stellantis announced the car on October 27, 2026, from Auburn Hills, Michigan. The package costs $10,995 in the U.S., the same on either model. Dealers can start placing orders in early January 2027, and production begins in spring 2027.
Mopar began in 1937 as a brand name for antifreeze, which is why 2027 counts as its 90th year. Today it’s the Stellantis name for factory parts and accessories. Its numbered, limited-run cars have become a yearly showcase for that catalog, and this one leans hard on carbon fiber.
What the Mopar ’27 Charger package adds
According to the Stellantis release, the three colors are Bludicrous, Diamond Black and White Knuckle. Of the 270 cars, 243 go to the U.S. and 27 go to Canada. In other words, Canada gets one car for every nine sold south of the border.
Most of the hardware comes from the Direct Connection performance catalog. Each car gets a carbon-fiber front splitter, a carbon-fiber hood with a functional scoop and a carbon-fiber rear spoiler. Under that hood sits a Direct Connection cold-air intake.
Mopar then adds unique bodyside and hood graphics, a serialized plaque on the radiator closeout panel and a badge on the dashboard. Buyers also get a certificate of authenticity with the car’s build number. On top of that, the Mopar design team supplies a special rendering of each car for its owner.
Two outputs from one six-cylinder
Both versions use the 3.0-liter twin-turbo SIXPACK inline-six. Both also come with all-wheel drive and an on-demand rear-drive mode. In the R/T, the engine makes 420 horsepower, and Stellantis claims 0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds with a 12.9-second quarter-mile.
The Scat Pack Plus raises output to 550 horsepower. Its engine adds forged internals, larger 54 mm Garrett twin turbos and a charge air cooler. As a result, Stellantis quotes 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds and a quarter-mile of 12.2 seconds.
The Scat Pack Plus is also the better-equipped car. It brings leather performance seats, 20×11-inch wheels, the Carbon and Suede Package and the Blacktop Package. If you want more, three Direct Connection parts sit outside the package: a high-performance cat-back exhaust, a performance spring kit and 21×11-inch Brass Monkey wheels.
The fourth Charger in a long Mopar series
The series began in 2010 with the Mopar ’10 Challenger. Since then, Mopar has given the full treatment to the Mopar ’11 Charger, the Mopar ’15 Charger R/T and the Mopar ’23 Challenger and Charger. That makes the new car the fourth Charger to get the package since 2011, per the release.
Earlier runs show how small these batches tend to be. For 2017, Mopar planned 160 copies of the Mopar ’17 Challenger, 80 in each of two color schemes, at a U.S. MSRP of $55,790, SEMA News reported. That car used the 485-hp 6.4-liter 392 HEMI V8 and a six-speed manual.
The 2023 round was bigger. Automotive Addicts reported 440 cars, 220 Challengers and 220 Chargers, with 200 of each for the U.S. and 20 of each for Canada. That package added $3,995 to an R/T Scat Pack Widebody with a 485-hp V8.
How the Mopar ’27 compares with the last V8 cars
So the new car is rarer than the 2023 batch and costs far more as a package. At $10,995, it runs $7,000 above the 2023 price. Still, that money now buys a carbon-fiber hood, splitter and spoiler plus an intake. By comparison, the 2023 package centered on interior, audio and appearance upgrades, with a carbon-fiber rear spoiler as its main carbon piece.
Our take: the parts list justifies much of the jump, and a 90-car color run feels properly exclusive. However, we think the six-cylinder will decide whether collectors chase these the way they chased the HEMI cars. That is a bet on taste rather than hardware, since the 550-hp car has the numbers on its side.
Where to see one first
The car debuts at the Mopar NHRA Las Vegas Nationals, October 30 to November 1 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. After that, it moves to the SEMA Show, November 3 to 6, at Mopar’s booth 59119 in the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Mopar is bringing company. The booth plan also includes a Moparized Ram 1500 Rumble Bee with a supercharged 5.7-liter HEMI aimed at more than 600 horsepower, plus a 1969 Charger Daytona Tribute with a Hellcrate Redeye 6.2-liter supercharged crate engine.
For buyers, the numbers are short and simple. When dealer orders open in early January 2027, U.S. shoppers will be chasing 243 cars, and production starts that spring.
